WILD ROSE HIPS - The seed cradle of roses, located under the flower head after the petals drop, is called the "hip". An extract of this "hip", without its seeds, contains a pure natural Vitamin C. A true Wild Rose Hip Extract contains no chemical sour taste of synthetic Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) as an additive. Beware of Rose Hip extracts that say on the label, "with rosehips"; or list rose hips as one of the ingredients. Wild Rose Hips contain not just Vitamin C, but also the supporting substances called bioflavonoids ("living colors"), such as rutin and hesperidin which, in turn, make the absorption of Vitamin C easier. In this way, the connective tissues of the body are made elastic and youthful. This prevents wrinkling and sagging, strengthens the blood vessels, capillaries (tiny blood vessels) included, and stops the inclination to bruise easily. Scurvy is a dis-ease which causes death with symptoms almost indistinguishable from degenerative aging. But there is good news. The Wild Rose Hip cures scurvy. The Vitamin C in Wild Rose Hips is a poison antidote and increases the effectiveness of all other vitamins. With all these wonderful qualities, we can see why the Wild Rose Hip wraps its "babies" (the seeds) in a cradle of Vitamin C and associated substances. It is, then, no wonder that Wild Rose Hips easily qualify as a life extender and protector. Take daily, as it does not store for more than a few days in the body. Cultivated roses are never used as a source for this extract, as they have lost the ability to bear seeds for offspring and are no longer tough enough to be "hardy survivors" like the friendly, familiar, Wild Rose. If you were ever curious what the hip of a Wild Rose would taste like, you may be pleasantly surprised. DOSE: 5-20 drops, 3-4 times per day. If debilitated, or more serious cases needing body repair, 40 to 80 drops, 3 times per day.
November 7, 2005 "Qualifying and running in the Boston Marathon has been a goal of mine for several years. After running my first marathon ten years ago, I've run four since with no success in qualifying. My main problems seem to be around mile 20-22 with an increased bone on bone feel in my hips, thus making me slow down and walk. Having to run in a given time for your age, this was preventing me from my goal. Even changing my training habits had little effect on me hitting the 'wall' and breaking down. After sharing my situation with Pat and Al at Pure Herbs, they recommended several herbs that would help me get through the rigorous training and through the tough part of the race. O.C.M., Ol' Number 11, Wild Rose Hips, Yucca, Devil's Claw and H.N.S.-W were the herbs I took for several months before the race. Throughout my training, I also used the Sports Cream Plus to aid with muscle soreness. This allowed for ZERO missed training days due to fatigue. My recovery rate was outstanding and energy level for later on in the days was great as well. I could run 22 miles on training day and have enough left to cut the grass, plant several bushes and feel great all day. As marathon day approached, a big fear of runners is catching a cold and having that spoil the months of training. Al suggested I take Astragalus. What a great relief, as the days past, that I did not have a symptom of a cold and was ready to go marathon morning! I was happy to report back to Pat and Al that not only did I break my personal record by over six minutes, I also qualified for the Boston Marathon by 9 seconds! I did not have to stop one time during the race, my hips felt great, and with that slim margin, the herbs played a big part in reaching my goal. Before it took three weeks for me to recover from my last marathon. This year, I ran three DAYS later and felt great. Pure Herbs was and is a great help! Thank you! -- Doug Bohannon, MI
September 1, 2007 "Well Summertime brought my own gang of skin issues under the breast. Why? Well, probably from perspiration and a genetic pre-disposition toward Seborrheic Keratosis (a genetic skin condition where non-cancerous growths appear on the outer layer of the skin). First, I decided to take Rice Bran, All Cell Salts, Wild Rose Hips and Sarsaparilla extracts internally once per day. Externally, after showering, I made sure that the area was thoroughly dry (blow dryer on cool); then I powdered with baby powder with Aloe and Vitamin E. Then I applied the following mixed together: Herbal Adjustment, Can-Sol and R.S.T.-C. This combination, I am happy to report, has made my skin very happy and the Summer Sweat Gang has disappeared." --I.S., Montmorenci, SC
―We were contacted by the agency from whom our two girls had come to us saying they had a six week old baby boy, but he had some very serious health issues having been born of a cocaine addicted mother who also had syphilis. He was one month premature, was on a feeding tube and heavily medicated. The doctors said his liver was enlarged and that he would have liver disease. Also his spleen wasn‘t working. The syphilis had reached the brain and the doctors said to expect him to be retarded. The agency understood if we did not want him, but asked if we would consider taking him home as foster parents and give us time to think about adoption. At eight weeks we brought him home from the hospital and were shocked at how horrible he looked. He was completely yellow and covered with painful oozing blisters. I called Jonny Yaden and told her the details and tearfully choked out one question, ‗Is there anything we can do to help him?‘ Jonny gave us some herbal suggestions and some very common sense lifestyle suggestions like daily sunshine and keeping him close to my body with a front/back sling so he could feel the love. We gave him a full spectrum flora. We also gave him drops of A.C.S., Wild Rose Hips, Three Bee‘s, Catnip, Fennel, Chamomile, and Ol‘ Number 11 alternating with a combination of P.A.K, C..C..E..-W, Olive Leaf, Indian Tobacco, Can-sol, Garlic and Plantain. These were also put in his bottle. To his blistered skin we applied a mixture of Five Oils, Vitamin E and Vitamins A & D. After about 3 1/2 months I took him to visit the nurses at the Infectious Disease unit who had been worried that he wouldn‘t make it. They couldn‘t believe it was the same baby. In between four and five months both the Infectious Disease doctors and his liver specialist doctor released him saying there was no sign of liver disease or infection. Also, at this time the children‘s special staff who do home visits came to observe him. They said, --There is nothing wrong with this baby. . . In fact he is about two months ahead of his skills.‘ They stopped their visits. We are so grateful to God for the gift of health for our newly adopted son and for the assistance of Jonny and the wonderful provision of Pure Herbs extracts. One day he will know how God used His healers to give him a new life." —Grateful in Texas."

"At the outset of Shingles consider a good Vitamin C source such as Wild Rose Hips (80 drops every 3-4 hrs.), a good B vitamin source with antiviral support such as Three Bees (80 drops every 3-4 hrs.) and for excellent antiviral support Olive Leaf and/or Goldenseal & Echinacea (80 drops every 3-4 hrs.). Stop acid producing foods such as meat and dairy for a couple of days and eat more fruits and vegetables. Drink one quart Green Drink (see recipe in Herbs For You) and one quart of fresh lemon water daily to help alkalize the body. Apply a mixture of Five Oils, Vitamins A & D and Vitamin E to skin eruptions." —J.Y., The Woodlands, TX
